The last diet/self help book you will ever need!
I have read so many diet/self help books that I almost didn't read this one. I'm glad I did. I am caught in the middle of the cycle of weight gain and for the first time this book helped me actually see the scale go down. The best part- I wasn't dieting! Simply by changing what I ate and eliminating other foods did the trick. Unlike most diets, you aren't depriving yourself of food. You are just choosing unprocessed foods. This is definitely a change I can make for life! The recipes are great and I love that there is an art of shopping list of the items you can eat. I definitely recommend this book and the lifestyle changes. You will see results!

For Women Only: What You Need to Know about the Inner Lives of Men (Hardcover) A Review
I was not the least bit intrigued by the cover of this book. However, upon reading the book, it has greatly changed my marriage. This book is eye opening as far as how differently men and women think/respond. I am happily married for 20 years and I gleaned helpful information from this book. Whether you are a newly wed or have been married many years, this book will help you understand the thought processes of men versus women.

Book Review- Fixing my Eyes on Jesus: Daily Moments in His Word by Anne Graham Lotz
Fixing My Eyes on Jesus : Daily Moments in His Word by Anne
Graham Lotz
First let me say that I am a big fan of Anne Graham Lotz (Billy Graham's Daughter). If you have never read any of her writings then I highly encourage you to start with this devotional.
The table of contents starts with each Day and the Topic of
that day. I have not seen a daily devotion that actually has topics in a table
of contents before. You could easily
search this devotion for a specific topic to read on as well as use it for the
Daily Devotional that it is. Each day starts with a scripture verse flowed by a
life application that points the reader back to Jesus. I have read multiple books from Anne Graham
Lotz and this is my first devotional I have read from her. I love Anne's concise style of writing. She
quotes scripture and then expounds on how we can live our life to reflect back
to Jesus.
You can easily read this in just a few minutes a day. I love
starting my day with this devotional. I
definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a powerful daily
devotional
I received this e-book
free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers
program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have
expressed are my own.

Cleaning House-A Mom's 12-Month Experiment to Rid Her Home of Youth Entitlement-Book Review
Cleaning
House Cleaning
House-A Mom's 12-month experiment to Rid Her home of Youth Entitlement By Kay
Wills Wyma
I
completely agree with Kay Wills Wyma that today's youth are growing up with a
sense of entitlement rather than a good work ethic. She says " Let's
parent our kids as if they are inherently strong, not inherently weak." In
her book she details her yearlong experiment to get rid of the entitlement
attitudes her children were displaying. The book is twelve chapters, one for
each month long experiment.
I
love how she starts the book with the following "With the greatest of
intentions and in the name of love, we have developed a tendency to hover, race
in to save, protect from failure, arrange for success, manipulate, overprotect,
and enable our kids." Kay's personal stories and creativity will make you
not want to put this book down. Kay has 5 children whom she introduces to the
reader to as well as their personalities. She starts with a list of 12 things a
kid should know before flying the Wyma Coop.
Kay
covers everything from Clutter control, meal planning, cooking, home repair,
cleaning to serving others and more. Kay is brutally honest about her kids
reactions to each task. This book helped me to see areas that I need to work
on. One being I have never thought about having my younger children do meal
planning, much less take them to the grocery store and let them shop for the
items they will need! We will definitely be trying this in our household.
If your goal is to raise Godly Children with
Servant hearts, this book is for you. I think this is a must read for any
parent in today's society. I loved this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Waterbrookmultnomah in
exchange for my review. I was not required to write a positive review and all
opinions are my own.

If You Have a Craving, I Have a Cure~ Book Review
"In If You Have a
Craving, I Have a Cure , bestselling author and speaker Sheri Rose Shepherd
encourages you to embark on a new adventure with faith and food." Sheri
shares the tips that have helped her lose over 50 pounds.
This book is consists of 15 chapters that each begin with a
"Craving"________. Chapter One
is Craving More Energy. The format of
the book is different than I expected. Each
chapter is formatted the same starting with
a personal bit about Sheri. Next is "Soul Food" which is a scripture
verse that is relevant to the topic. "New Life Recipes" are everyday
practical tips for you to try. This is followed by "Power Up With Prayer"
and a "Food Truth" with the Food Truth of Chapter One being "No
food..... is as satisfying as the energy to enjoy life." Each chapter
concludes with actual recipes.
This book is a quick and easy read. I expected more Sheri
Stories but I was surprised that she kept them brief and not to deep. Did I
mention that there are over 100 recipes in this book as well? The recipes sound
very inviting and are not filled with processed ingredients. I can't wait to
try a few. I would recommend this book to anyone that has struggled with weight
loss or food addictions.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in
exchange for my review. I was not required to write a positive review and all
opinions are my own.
