Program History AAA and Gold Coast Eagle Distributors, Inc. teamed up in Manatee County to offer the Tow to Go between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve in Bradenton/Palmetto in 1998. Purpose This program is designed to protect both the intoxicated driver and the motoring public from avoidable car crashes. Coverage Areas Tow to Go program is available throughout Florida, Georgia, and Middle & Western Tennessee. 2010 Call Volume In 2010, AAA received 2,400 calls. Since the program's inception, over 13,600 intoxicated drivers have decided to use Tow to Go vs. getting behind the wheel when their sobriety was in question.
